Ryanair announced a new partnership with TUI. The German operator will be authorized to offer flights e additional services (such as seat choice and baggage option) to their customers as part of their vacation packages: the only condition, ça va sans dire, is that passengers are not charged extra for the same.
In addition to this, through this new agreement, Ryanair will receive the contact and payment information of TUI passengers who, in this way, will have direct access to your myRyanair account and will be able to receive the flight information directly via e-mail.
Dara Brady of Ryanair said:
"We are delighted to announce this partnership with TUI, which will allow TUI customers to book Ryanair flights, seats and baggage as part of their vacation package with the assurance that they will have full price transparency of Ryanair products and receive all information about their flight directly from Ryanair, as well as have direct access to their booking through their myRyanair account. This agreement sets TUI apart from the pirate OTAs that continue to deceive and defraud consumers by illegally screenshotting Ryanair's website and selling our Flights with huge hidden mark-ups and surcharges."
Peter Krüger, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Executive Officer Holiday Experiences, TUI Group, said:
"The new agreement follows the Group's strategy of increased digitization of business segments. The cooperation with Ryanair will further expand TUI's dynamic tour package offerings and at the same time achieve another milestone in digitization. In addition, the collaboration also contributes to our growth strategy: the goal is to achieve further growth through more products and new customers."
David Schelp, CEO Markets & Airlines, TUI Group, commented:
"More hotels, more air connections, more excursions and activities on the road and at home-we are creating even more choices for our customers. The agreement we have reached will create even more travel options for our guests. In the U.K. in particular, our guests will be able to choose from an even wider range of flights in the future -- plus a strong program with TUI Airline flights."
With this new partnership, Ryanair intends to. counteract the OTAs - online travel agencies - unauthorized who, according to him, propose much higher rates.
After loveholidays e Kiwi, TUI is the third OTA partner approved by the Irish company.
