Volotea, the Spanish low-cost airline, Adds new aircraft to its fleet: it is about 3 Airbus A320s, equipped with CFM engines and capable of carrying up to 180 passengers, will take flight in April with the start of the summer season.
Volotea - which this year is preparing to operate over 450 links and carry almost 12 million passengers - will therefore have a total of 44 aircraft, of which 20 Airbus A319s e 24 A320.

Last year alone, Volotea carried more than 10 million passengers on nearly 70,000 flights, with an average occupancy rate of 92% for our scheduled flights. With revenues of around 700 million euros and historic financial margins for a company that has been in business for just over a decade, the forecast for this year is to continue to grow and increase our capacity by 15%. With these new aircraft we are preparing for the summer season, traditionally the busiest period for the company. In addition, the more modern and efficient Airbus A320 model will enable us to improve our competitiveness and meet our emission reduction targets, while still providing our customers with the best service".
