The new business class of Malaysia Airlines is ready and will be available from the end of 2024 as soon as the deliveries of the new Airbus A330neo start: in fact, the flag carrier of Kuala Lumpur had planned to pick up "the keys" of the first aircraft at the end of 2023 but, as is well known, there have been not inconsiderable delays in deliveries and so everything has slipped. MAS's A330-900neo will be configured in two classes, economy (269 seats including 24 with increased legroom) and the brand new business class (28 places).

Farewell to Malaysia's historic "throne": here is the new business booth
Word of mouth: privacy. By now, as we have written many times, the sliding door in business class has become a real must-have: Malaysia does not want to be outdone, which is why it has decided to implement it in the new cabin; and again speaking of privacy, middle row travelers will be able to extend the center divider to isolate themselves completely.
The configuration of the new biz will be 1-2-1, with the seats arranged in a herringbone pattern: All passengers, therefore, will have direct access to the corridor.
Compared with the current one, the seat in the new business will offer more comfort and space. Not only that, Malaysia has also revamped the infotainment, with a larger screen size, and implemented the wireless charging (as well as USB-C ports).
The seat, based on the Collins platform from Aerospace Elevations, good or bad is the same as in the biz of British Airways and Qatar Airways.
A350s will also be reconfigured with new business class
By 2026, Malaysia also plans to include the new business in its Airbus A350s; with this retrofit, the first-class suites offered by the Kuala Lumpur-based carrier known as "business suites" will disappear.
