ITA and Aeromexico frequent flyers will have mutual benefits through this codeshare agreement

News for ITA Airways and Aeromexico frequent flyer program members. Mexico and Italy's flagship airlines announce a codeshare agreement, through which customers of both companies will be able to enjoy an even wider network of connectivity and benefits between the two countries starting March 10.

Benefits for frequent flyers

Both companies will allow their respective customers to enjoy the benefits of their loyalty programs, as accrual e redemption of points on flights operated by ITA Airways and Aeromexico, in addition to those already offered as SkyTeam members for Elite and Elite Plus members.

In addition, Aeromexico Rewards' Top Tier Platinum and Titanium members will enjoy additional benefits, including access to ITA Airways lounges in Italy, free check-in of an additional baggage at preferred counters, and priority boarding.

Likewise, Club Premium and Club Executive members of Volare, ITA Airways' loyalty program, will enjoy the same benefits and access to Aeromexico's Salones Premier in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Torreon and Chihuahua.

The ITA Aeromexico codeshare

Customers traveling with Aeromexico on the Mexico City - Rome route will be able to reach 15 destinations in Italy from Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO), while ITA Airways travelers will have access to 28 destinations operated by Aeromexico from Mexico City International Airport (MEX).

Thanks to this agreement, customers will be able to travel with a single ticket, checking their luggage at the departure airport and continuing on to cities such as Milan, Genoa, Florence, Naples and Turin, as well as Cancun, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta and Merida.

For the direct connection between Mexico City and Rome, Aeromexico will continue to use. the best of its long-haul fleet, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Since entering service, the fleet of Dreamliner reduced CO2 emissions by nearly 160 billion pounds and, thanks to the innovative composition of its engines, is able to contain the noise level during takeoff and landing by 60%.
