    Terminal 3 of the Changi Airport is the home of Singapore Airlines, almost all of his flights depart here and this is the largest Silverkris in the entire network, the most important and the one that welcomes, every day, the most passengers.

    It is located on the floor above the shopping area in the middle of the terminal. past security checks you turn left and past the iconic LV store you take the escalators to the entrance.

    Impossible to miss the signs and the mega sign.

    Accessed

    This lounge is only accessed if you are traveling in business class (or Suites) with Singapore Airlines or a Star Alliance airline.

    Unlike what Lufthansa is proposing., which treats senators better than business travelers, Singapore's choice is similar to Qatar's, so even those who have the status but are not traveling in business class will not be able to access this lounge, but to the hall called Krisflyer Gold lounge not far away.

    The lucky ones who fly first class, on the other hand, have access to the first class lounge and the Secret Room, here everything is obviously more exclusive.

    The lounge is really huge, I have no idea but I think it could accommodate more than 500 people without any problem. It is open to the terminal with a view outward, and that means beautiful views and lots of light. However, it also means a lot more noise, if, as in my case, the renovations of the nearby SATS Lounge are felt very strongly,

    Past the reception desk, turn right to the smaller part of the hall, the part that houses the bar area and a small buffet.

    On the opposite side, however, is the most important section, here is the restaurant part with an open kitchen and many areas where dishes, such as noodles, are freshly prepared.

    It's really huge, and there are hundreds of seats. I think it's statistically impossible not to find a seat, as well as something good to eat or drink. There are all kinds of seating, scattered throughout the immense spaces that this lounge provides for guests.

    The feeling, however, is that there was a focus on substance (good), little on appearance (well) and nothing in imagination (poorly). Lots of space, but removed from eating, drinking and sitting there is little or nothing.

    Sure there are many pits, structures that are found in all the SilverKris around the world, but it is everything else that is lacking. There is no cinema room, no relaxation area, less bright and more protected from light and noise.

    There is also no a la carte dining area, But a simple buffet. When I think of the catering in Qatar's business lounges, the spas inside Air France's lounges to Emirates' champagne bar, just to name a few examples.

    Services

    The real disappointment is really the lack of options. Sure there are toilets, showers, and wi-fi, we'd miss that.

    However, everything else is missing, e.g. there is only one phone booth in the whole lounge (And it is hard to find).

    There is a microscopic family room, inside which a family with children can barely fit, but inside removed a TV with cartoons offers nothing.

    There is no spa, no area designed to relieve tension. When I think of Signature Lounges around the world, I am reminded of the Virgin's Clubhouse, but also what Cathay offers in Hong Kong, or Qatar's brand new Garden. All lounges that provide much more than what SQ offers.

    One is certainly satisfied here, although much better could be done.

    Speaking of the bar, for example, the bartender is operational only 3 hours. This means that if you want a cappuccino you have to come in at that time, otherwise you go through the vending machines.

    And even if you are in the service hours there is only one attendant with the passengers in the queue. Conversely, I did not understand if and when the bartender is operational. But in any case I find this choice wrong because as I always say in an airport each person is on a different time zone.

    On the food side, the open kitchen is very nice and the offerings at breakfast time are comparable to those of a hotel in this part of the world, i.e., excellent and plentiful.

    There is a classic buffet, actually two, but it lacks that something to remind you that you are in the home of the best company in the world.

    In conclusion

    I expected something much better, when I think about what it offers Qatar to business passengers at this very airport there is no comparison, the Doha company wins 3-0. This was not the first SilverKris I visited, and whether in London or Sydney the proposal is valid, Much more was needed here.

    The verdict
    From the best company in the world it is right to expect the best, but in this case I must say I was a little disappointed, but only because expectations were very high.
