Summer 2024, Ryanair to offer 800 flights a week and 10 new destinations from Puglia

Ryanair, to celebrate its first 20 years in Apulia, announced a very interesting summer operative for travelers departing to and from Bari and Brindisi airports. 

During the summer of 2024 Irish carrier will operate more than 800 flights a week to 80 destinations, of which 10 new: Athens, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, Malaga, Katowice, Rhodes, Tirana e Toulouse (from Bari); Gdansk e Trieste (from Brindisi).

Ryanair also, will base 5 aircraft (3 in Bari airport and 2 in Brindisi airport) and counts on Carry nearly 4.5 million passengers.

Ryanair is also celebrating 20 years of operations in Puglia, where it remains the fastest growing airline, growing from 0.2 million pax since the start of operations to more than 4.3 million pax carried this summer. Ryanair congratulates the Mayor of Brindisi for his vision and approach in supporting tourism growth by improving connectivity and, in turn, lowering fares for citizens and visitors to the region Puglia by stopping the increase in the municipal surtax/tourist tax. However, there is an opportunity for Puglia to secure accelerated growth in passenger numbers and tourism in the coming years, provided that the Puglia Region and the Italian government abolish the excessive municipal surtax. Should the Italian government abolish the municipal surtax, Ryanair will respond with a $4 billion investment in Italy, adding 40 new aircraft, an additional 20 million passengers a year, and more than 250 new routes.
