The summer season has begun also for Air Transat: Tuesday, April 16 Rome direct seasonal flight has restarted (FCO) - Montréal, while Friday, May 3 direct connections will resume between Rome (FCO) and Toronto; passengers from Italy and beyond now-and until October '24-have more options for flying to and from Canada.
The Rome-Montréal route, in April, will have a daily frequency (Tuesdays); from May there will be 4 weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays); finally, in June, the connections will become daily. As for the FCO-YYZ route, on the other hand, in May passengers will have 5 flights per week (Friday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) which will become, then, one per day starting June 13.
Flights to Montréal and Toronto are operated with the Airbus A330 - in the -200 or -300 version, set up in two classes, economy e business (which AirTransat calls a "club") - and passengers will be able to choose between 5 different rates: Eco budget (no checked baggage, paid seat selection, not changeable or refundable), Standard Eco (23 kg checked baggage included, seat selection chargeable, changeable or refundable with a fee), Eco flex (23 kg checked baggage and standard seat included, change without penalty unless there is a fare difference and refundable without penalty), Standard Club (including 2 bags of 23 kg each in checked baggage, gourmet meals, priority check-in and priority security screening at some airports, refundable and changeable with penalty), Club flex (2 x 23 kg checked bags included, free seat selection, changeable-unless there is a fare difference-and refundable without penalty, gourmet meals, priority check-in and priority security screening at some airports).
