The 2024 summer season of theTurin-Caselle Airport is getting richer and richer. Starting from July 10 Turkish Airlines - the national airline of Turkey - will reopen the course Istanbul-Turin.
Flight, operated by one of the single-aisle aircraft of TK's fleet, will have daily frequency: the Monday, Tuesday e Thursday will depart Istanbul at 07:15 a.m. and will arrive at Turin airport at 09:20 (local time); while on the reverse leg, the flight from the Piedmont airport will take off at 10:15 to land, then, in the Turkish city at 14:10 (local time).
In the days of Wednesday, Friday e Sunday the departure from Istanbul is scheduled, instead, by 5:00 p.m. (local time) and is scheduled to arrive in Turin at 7:05 p.m.; it will then depart from "Sandro Pertini" International Airport at 8:00 p.m. and land in Istanbul at 11:55 p.m. (local time).
"The opening by Turkish Airlines of the route to Istanbul represents a valuable network expansion for Turin. This adds a hub to the East that because of its geographical location is an excellent transit point for connections. Indeed, Piedmontese will have the opportunity to fly not only to Istanbul and throughout Turkey, but through this major hub to the rest of the world. Likewise, this flight is an opportunity for further tourism growth for Piedmont, which will be able to be reached from all destinations that are part of Turkish Airlines' network," said Andrea Andorno, CEO of Torino Airport.
The new daily route, which restarts after a 6-year stop, allows passengers from Italy (and beyond) to fly directly to Istanbul but also to take advantage of the over 300 destinations - to Turkey , Africa, North and South America, the Middle East and the Far East - of the Turkish Airlines network. The Turkish flag carrier connects, to date, 8 Italian cities: Turin becomes, therefore, the 9th.
