Summer, this year, starts earlier for United Airlines. By offering as many as two flights a day, the airline is extending the seasonal connection between Naples e New York (EWR), Anticipating the start of the beautiful season by almost a month compared to last year.
"We are excited to return to flying from Naples with expanded operations, allowing our customers in southern Italy to book their travel to the United States even earlier this year," said Walter Cianciusi, Country Sales Manager Italy. "For the summer of 2024, United will offer the largest intercontinental operation ever, offering even more travel options through connections, from our U.S. hubs, throughout the Americas."
"The anticipation of the Naples/Newark flight by United, the first U.S. major to fly from Naples to New York, demonstrates the strong demand and enormous connection between the two cities, which share cultural vibrancy and latitude. The great success in recent years has led the airline to double daily frequencies during the summer peak and to focus on a distinctly business product, choices fully in line with GESAC's strategy of offering quality flights that can guarantee high connectivity. In addition to New York, the connection to Newark, United's hub, will allow passengers from Naples and Southern Italy to reach the entire American continent more easily," commented Roberto Barbieri, CEO of GESAC.
As we have written in the past few weeks, United - during the summer of '24 - will offer up to 11 daily connections from our country to the United States: in addition to the NAP-EWR mentioned above, the carrier offers daily connections to Chicago (from MXP and FCO), Washington e San Francisco (from Fiumicino) and on New York (from Milan, Fiumicino and Venice).
Sure fine the two daily flights, but flying to Naples is the oldest aircraft in the long-haul fleet of United operating Boeing 767/300s that have an average age close to 30 years of operation.
