Whenever we talk about a promotion whether it is an American Express offer, or one of the recurring promotions that loyalty programs do the usual questions pop up.
In this case, the question is about the Hilton Honors promotion of early 2024, but every time on our facebook group, in the comments and other communication channels come the same questions, "but if I don't activate the promotion, do I get the bonus?"
The answer is 9 times out of 10 NO
Depending on the offer there are different rules, but it is clear that if it says in the article that you have to activate the offer it is a given that if you want to receive the bonus you have to enter your profile and follow the procedure from time to time required. So it is obvious that on the contrary if you do not activate the promo, or activate it too late, you will lose the benefits.
In the case of Hilton and Marriott promotions. you must ALWAYS activate the promotion before check-in, under penalty of losing the points. If we are talking about other offers, such as promotions and cashback from the American Express offers you must activate them before making the transaction, otherwise you will lose your cashback or bonus points.
