Emirates is one of the few airlines in the world to have only two types of aircraft (widebody, by the way) in its fleet: the Boeing 777 and theAirbus A380, for a total of 263 aircraft. But that is about to change.
In this article:
After ordering 30 Dreamliners (in the -900 version), 115 Boeing 777s (version X, but who knows when they will arrive given the delays in certification and production) and more than 60 Airbus A350-900s, Emirates is set to take delivery of first aircraft: 10 will join the fleet by March 31, 2025. new A350s, with the very first examples entering service as early as September this year. The new aircraft will be configured in 3 classes: economy (259 seats), premium economy (21) and business class (new generation, with 32 seats).
Emirates' new A350 will also arrive in Italy, to be precise in Bologna, and for our country it is a double novelty: the date to mark in the calendar is December 1 when flight EK094 will take off from the "Guglielmo Marconi" airport to Dubai; Bologna will not only be the first Italian location to discover Emirates' new A350, but it will also be the first from which it will be possible to fly in premium economy, considering that the A380s and B777s flying in the Bel Paese are not configured with this class. Air of novelty but also of farewell: those departing from Bologna will yes have the opportunity to fly on PE but will have to forgoing Emirates First Class which, as mentioned, will not be present in the new A350-900s.
