The second inauguration of the face boarding system was held at Linate airport in recent days.. The technology has been Installed at the airport from 2020, But after a few months of use it had been (almost) forgotten. Now after some work it is fully operational again.
The operation is simple And I had explained it right in the post-pandemic period when was only available to Alitalia and only for departures from gates connected to the fingers. Once the passenger's face is associated with the ticket, at the special kiosks, it will then be possible to take advantage of facial recognition to pass through airport screening without any need to show documents or boarding passes.

So only those departing from Linate with these two carriers will be able to pass the controls showing only a smile, everyone else will still need to have ID and boarding pass at hand.
