Review Plaza Premium Lounge London Gatwick

London Gatwick is not a secondary airport, many people fly here including Emirates, British and of course easyjet, but also Norse and Jetblue. Just as I disembarked from Norse, the low-cost company that rose from the ashes of Norwegian, I had a chance to try this lounge.

Location

All lounges in the North terminal are compacted into the same area, there is the only lounge in Europe branded easyjet e even EK has its own lounge, which in keeping with tradition is connected to the gates used by the Dubai-based company.

I was also able to admire his majesty the A380 park right under my chair While I was in this room.

Access

Le Plaza Premium Lounge Are a network of independent lounges, after a couple of years of absolute anarchy they have rejoined the Priority pass family and are therefore accepting both titular  of these cards, than of American Express Platinum and certain types of passengers under direct agreements with the companies.

The hall

There are days when I arrive at lounges at ungodly hours finding them empty, but here at dawn it was absolute chaos and it was difficult to even find a seat. As always happens within minutes the situation was diametrically opposite, deserted hall and zero queue at the entrance.

If you are then surrounded by Groups of Brits already carbureted out for stag party then you already know that it will not be silent, however.

Definitely the most beautiful aspect is the overlook on the runway and the fact that it is curved.

I must say that I liked it in all respects. Modern, beautiful and well-kept furnishings.

The morning light made the whole environment really pleasant to experience

Services

There are showers, small cubicles where you can work slightly isolated from the rest of the guests, and a corner for children. Some screens and a table football on the side opposite the buffet designed for families.

Food & Beverage

Very varied and above average offer. Of course not only is it at the airport, so each person is on a different time zone, but we are also in London and here you have a beer and croissant breakfast.

Hot and cold offer, products for intolerant and special diets. From this point of view absolutely promoted.

There is also a counter with a bartender, but no bartender.

For hot drinks there are, always free, vending machines.

For beer, on the other hand, there is always a queue, even at 8 in the morning.

In conclusion

Really an above-average lounge, but with Plaza Premium is not new, in fact it is the opposite the disappointments can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
