A couple of years ago we wrote about Emirates' "champagne revolution": In fact, the Dubai-based carrier announced that until 2024 it would be the only one to serve valuable labels on board such as. Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot e Dom Perignon. Well, Emirates announced that this exclusivity will continue for another four years.
They are Eight exclusive champagnes served on board Emirates flights: Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013, Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 2008, Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 2004, Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial, Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Blanc 2013, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Veuve Clicquot Vintage Blanc 2015. As if that were not enough, then, the Dubai-based company serves Australian sparkling wine Chandon Vintage Brut 2017 to Premium Economy passengers.
What to drink in first class? Dom Pérignon, of course
Rivers of Dom Pérignon in Emirates First Class, on all global routes: specifically, while the 2013 Dom Pérignon Vintage is served all year round, the Vintage Rosé 2008 will only be available June to September.
Passengers flying first between November and December, however, will be able to enjoy Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 2004: this is a rare and limited edition that is part of the Emirates exclusive labels.
Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot for business class passengers
If you fly business class on routes to and from Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania, you will have the opportunity to sip Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut (year-round) and Rosé Imperial (June to November only).
Conversely, on flights to the Americas, the United Kingdom, and Europe, Emirates will serve Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label: from September to December, however, Vintage Blanc 2015 will also be offered.
You don't die of thirst even in premium economy
Emirates does not forget its premium economy passengers and, in fact, offers them (again, exclusively) an Australian sparkling wine: Chandon Vintage Brut 2017.
And in economy? There is no champagne or sparkling wine offer, however, economy class passengers will be able to reserve-at a cost of $43-a bottle of Moët & Chandon paired with a vanilla or chocolate cake-a nice way to celebrate a special occasion in flight.
In conclusion
Emirates not only buys champagne more than any other carrier, not only is it Dom Pérignon's No. 1 partner, but it has also secured 4-year exclusivity of the most important bubbly labels. Again.
