Mea culpa, until today I had devoted little space to Eurowings, LH Group's subsidiary designed to compete with low-cost airlines by the German group. The airline flies from many German airports to leasure destinations throughout Europe and to some M.O. destinations.
The ticket

A round-trip ticket bought on the Lufthansa website. to go from Nice to Hamburg and back, while the outbound flight was operated LH and stopover in Munich, the return had the perfect timetable and was direct with Eurowings and departure from T1 HAM at 8:10 am and arrival at 10 am in the French Riviera.
Expensive round-trip price, but I got the tickets a few days before to visit the AIX fair, I also had to change the return and the ticket change cost me 60€, and the choice of seat in the first rows 12€.

At the airport
I arrived from the Moxy Altona, a hotel I highly recommend, in a virtually deserted airport. Having already checked in, I went directly to the security checkpoint.
Modern scanners, you don't remove anything but the water that can't get through here completely, and in a few minutes I was on the opposite side.
Having little time and not being sure that with EU ticket I would have access to the Lufthansa lounge, I decided to stop in the independent lounge and use my Priority pass to get in.
Very large, brightly lit room with lots of comfortable seating overlooking the runway.
Very scarce offerings during catering breakfast hours, just some fruit and croissants.
On the opposite side of the room, however, there was a second buffet island so it is possible that at lunch/dinner the situation is better.
At the gate
I arrived at the gate that boarding had already started. Passengers divided into 2 zones: one for those who have the ability to board their trolleys and two for everyone else.
I had two and got in line, except to be stopped for the presence of my suitcase. After a couple of checks, a second attendant gave the go-ahead for my boarding. I did not understand what the problem was as I had an LH ticket and status.
Boarding, as per LC tradition occurred from the apron and not from the finger, although the neighboring plane instead boarded connected directly to the air terminal.
On board
Eurowings offers classic European business class, that is, with the vacant chair in the middle, and Then he configured half the plane with the extra-space seats And I have to say that you really travel well in these sessions.
Not only is there legroom, but the seats still have enclosure, a function now tragically missing from traditional LC carriers.
During boarding procedures, flight attendants also encouraged seat upgrades. Both to morespace seats and in business class and one passenger actually made the jump from the back of the plane to the second row.
Of course, the seat is the traditional thin and stiff one, but for a 90-minute flight it is within the norm.
IFE
No screen, but there is wi-fi. Service for sale with 3 formulas. Chat for €3, 60-minute speed-controlled connection €6, the entire flight at full speed and access to the on-board portal for €9.
Food & Beverage
Business passengers have an included snack of their choice from the menu.
Instead, everyone else has the option of buying dishes and drinks from the menu, a behavior similar to that of low-cost airlines, but also the same thing that happens on board all LH group flights with the only difference being that in that case a bottle of water is given to all passengers, while here everything is for sale.
