Partnership expands between Air Transat e Porter Airlines. It begins, at starting this month, the first phase of the joint venture of the two Canadian companies: this will result in a Significant increase in destinations offered around the world.

Air Transat offers a wide choice of routes operated by Porter In Canada and some cities in the U.S., including Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, Washington, and others; Porter, on the other hand, offers direct flights from Toronto, Montréal and Québec City towards Europe operated by Air Transat.
"Porter's growing presence throughout North America fits perfectly with Air Transat's international routes. - explains Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines. - We are able to operate independently and collaboratively, to offer passengers more choices when booking their travel, either with our flights or for itineraries that require connections with both airlines".
Air Transat, founded in 1986, operates a fleet of 32 aircraft: 20 Airbus A321s and 12 A330s; in Italy, during this summer, it flies on Rome, Venice e Lamezia Terme. Porter Airlines, on the other hand, was founded in 2006, boasts a fleet consisting of a 50 or so aircraft - between Embraer E195-E2 and Dash 8-400 - and offers about 30 destinations in North America.
