Receiving real-time flight updates with a notification in your smartphone-a dream? Not at all. Now, thanks to artificial intelligence, it is possible.
Adr, Rome Airports, launches two new digital services for passengers departing from Fiumicino airport: travelers will have access to A dedicated chat to get information - in real time - on the status of your flight, without having to consult the monitors located in the terminals; to do so, simply frame a QR Code found in the display with flight information. Les jeux sont fait.
Not only that. Adr is also launching the "smart boarding" for 14 gates (from E11 to E24) at Fiumicino's Pier E: via QR Code, passengers will be able to access a Live-streaming that will show them the progress of boarding operations; all this is made possible by an AI-coordinated micro-camera system that collects and processes data on boarding. Translated: passengers, thanks to the ability to monitor operations, will be able to choose the right time to get in line.
"With these new services," said Aeroporti di Roma vice president of Innovation & Quality Emanuele Calà, "we are continuing our mission to revolutionize, thanks to digital, the passenger experience at the airport: today travelers can have all the coordinates about their flight at the click of a button, without having to view flight information monitors several times. By directly activating notifications on their smartphones and monitoring their boarding status in real-time, travelers will be able to spend their time mindlessly exploring the airport while waiting for takeoff."
The new services were designed and implemented in collaboration with Airport AI e Zestlot, two of the startups that participated in the Call4ideas launched by Aeroporti di Roma with the aim of developing startups in the airport sector.
