Once is good, twice is good; to the sixth, however, there is the aggravating factor of recidivism. For almost a month now, North Korea has been 'enjoying' launching toward Seoul balloons laden with garbage and excrement: Tonight, as I mentioned, the sixth rain of flying balloons was recorded, with a total of 250 bags 'landing' in a few in South Korean territory, including the Capital.
Speaking of landings: this rain of garbage has also hit theSeoul Airport (ICN). At 1:46 a.m. last night, a balloon ended its journey near Terminal 2 of the airport; the consequences are easy to imagine: inconveniences and delays.
The authorities, seeing the situation and waiting to understand its nature, decided to close all three tracks. Translated: all departing and arriving flights were blocked until 04:46 am. 9, in total, aircraft - including cargo and passengers - that were diverted to other airports: mostly over Cheongju and Jeju, while a China Cargo plane was landed at Yantai airport.
As can be seen from the Seoul-Incheon airport flight history on FlightRadar, operations returned to normal - albeit with some difficulty - at starting from 06/06:30 am.
