I have repeatedly called Virgin Atlantic the "sexiest" airline in the world, the carrier founded by the histrionic Richard Branson is, for a few months now, Skyteam member and also partners with ITA Airways. It is celebrating 40 years this week, and for that it has launched one of the best promotions ever, and enormously cheaper than in early 2024.

40% discount applies to all award tickets redeemed in Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class on any flight operated by Virgin Atlantic from now until the end of 2024. Earlier this year VS had launched a similar promotion by discounting 20% the tickets, while in mid-2023 the discount had been 30%, then in my memory this is the best promo seen in the post-pandemic era.
With a fleet consisting only of wide-body aircraft: my advice is to aim for flights made with the flagship the A350/1000 and the brand new A330neo , while the older A330/300 and the Dreamliners are to be avoided like the plague. VS flies to the U.S., Caribbean and Asia (India) from London Heathrow and Manchester.

If it were not the very high fees and surcharges the award tickets of Virgin Atlantic would be among the most desirable in the world, at least in this case the discount makes the final bill less bitter, to fly aboard one of the best cabins in the world.
You can fly to New Deli or New York for as low as 6,000 miles in economy, and less than 28k in business class, or rather Upper Class because that's what they call the finest class aboard Virgin Atlantic's "ladies."
Low prices also for flying to Los Angeles or San Francisco with economy at 9k and premium economy at 16.5k. Oddly enough, Miami is more expensive than LA with tickets ranging from 13,500 to 34,500 Flying Club points.
Lots of tickets, on lots of dates, all easily located by the monthly calendar that allows you to search over 30 days among available dates.
In case my advice is to take off from London and take advantage of the exclusive private elevator that allows you to jump the queue and land, practically, in front of the entrance to the beautiful ClubHouse one of the best lounges in the world.
Only small problem is that there are only 3 days to book, the discounts expire on June 24 at midnight. Of course, discounted are only flights operated by Virgin and not those with partners such as Air France or ITA Airways.
