Do you love staying in the hotel Hyatt? There is good news: the famous hotel chain has welcomed into its portfolio. Twenty new Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Since Hyatt and SLH announced their partnership several years ago, properties around the world have been added to the group at a steady pace (12 in early 2021 alone).

As of last July, 20 more hotels part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World circuit have joined Hyatt's "big family." What this means. That members of the World of Hyatt loyalty program can book and pay for them using their status and points. They will not enjoy the standard World of Hyatt benefits, but they can enjoy benefits such as:
- free breakfast
- Free Wi-Fi
- 12:00 p.m. check-in and 2:00 p.m. check-out
- upgrade to a higher category room
The plus? Two of the new entries are located in Italy. And they are perfect for a romantic weekend in the Veneto.

The two Italian hotels that have joined the Hyatt portfolio are the Ca' di Dio in Venice e Villa Soligo in Farra di Soligo (Treviso), both from category 6.
Surrounded by the greenery of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Prosecco DOCG, now a World Heritage area, Villa Soligo is a charming hotel in the heart of a historic 18th-century villa. Ca' di Dio, opened last August 1, on the other hand, is the new luxury accommodation in the center of Venice, with views of St. Mark's and excellent services. As both are marked with category 6, for earn a free night you must have at least 25k points.

How to earn Hyatt points
The easiest way to earn Hyatt points is to stay at hotels in its portfolio: For every dollar spent, you earn 5 points. You get the same ratio, $1 = 5 points, by booking lunches, dinners, extra services and spa treatments at accredited establishments. But also by staying at the Small Luxury Hotels of the World included in the Hyatt portfolio and MGM Resorts. If you hold a meeting or event within a Hyatt hotel, you receive up to 50k bonus points instead.
Other methods of accumulating Hyatt points are:

- Rent the car with Avis (up to 500 bonus points)
- buy them (up to 55k per year)
Hyatt's is not the most generous loyalty program, but the facilities are certainly worth it.
