ITA Airways boosts direct Sao Paulo-Rome Fiumicino flight to meet the significant increase in demand. Starting in August 2023, the airline will add 4 weekly frequencies to its daily connections between Brazil and Italy.

ITA Airways' new frequencies from São Paulo International Airport will be. operated with Airbus A330, departing on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. and landing in Rome Fiumicino at 11:45 a.m. local time. The new flights from Rome will be operated with departure at 9:40 a.m. and arrival in Sao Paulo at 5:00 p.m. local time.
The introduction of additional frequencies in the direct connection from Sao Paulo to Rome Fiumicino is a further demonstration of the Company's important investment in the Brazilian market and will allow ITA Airways to further strengthen its presence in South America, which has always been one of the favorite Italian vacation destinations and a destination with the highest rate of presence of population of Italian origin as well as a destination easily reachable via Rome from all ITA Airways' main gateways in Europe and Mediterranean countries.
Thanks to the new frequencies, the airline will increase its offer to 11 weekly round-trip flights between São Paulo and Rome. This offer in the South American market will be complemented at the end of October with the launch of the Rio de Janeiro - Rome Fiumicino direct flight, which will operate 7 round-trip flights per week and will bring the total number of weekly frequencies between Brazil and Italy to 18.
With the new flight and additional frequencies in Brazil, ITA Airways will offer customers additional options in terms of departure and arrival times, as well as connectivity with other flights to the many domestic destinations in the Brazilian market, operated by ITA Airways' partners through code share or commercial agreements. Thanks to codeshare flights with Azul - Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, GOL Airlines and LATAM Airlines, ITA Airways customers will be able to fly from São Paulo International Airport to all Brazilian domestic destinations, thanks to connections via São Paulo with the 11 weekly frequencies from Rome.
