Genoa Airport, Ryanair rewards 4.5millionth passenger
This was a family consisting of a mother, father and two children who boarded a flight to Palermo on May 2.

They are called Francesco Arrigo and Isabella Correnti and on May 2, they embarked on the flight to Palermo together with their two children aged 7 and 9: they are the number 4.5 million Ryanair passengers at Genoa Airport.

The family, from Palermo, was returning home after a long weekend to visit the Ligurian capital. The airline decided to reward them with round-trip tickets to one of the destinations reachable from the Ligurian airport. Presenting the award was Ryanair's Country Manager for Italy, Mauro Bolla, together with the General Manager of Genoa City Airport, Piero Righi, and ENAC's North West Airport Director, Adolfo Marino.
Summer 2023 marks Ryanair's 25th year in Italy and 24th in Genoa, one of the very first Italian airports where the airline landed. As early as 1999, in fact, the low-cost carrier launched a direct Genoa-London Stansted flight that has remained operational ever since, except for temporary suspension during the pandemic. Since the start of its operations to Genoa, Ryanair has introduced numerous domestic as well as international routes, and this summer it will be the leading airline in terms of number of routes to Genoa, connecting the Ligurian capital to 12 destinations with more than 80 weekly flights.
