British Airways has announced new features for the winter schedule. As far as Italian routes are concerned, there are two new features.
London City to Linate
In this article:
BA Cityflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways based at London City Airport, Will launch a weekly service to Milan's Linate airport. to complement existing flights from London Heathrow. The flight will operate on Embraer 190 aircraft on Sundays starting November 5, 2023, with fares starting at £112.
I have no idea what the point might be of a Sunday connection from London City Airport, generally used by business customers. In any case, flight BA7315 will leave Linate at 4:15 pm, while the flight from LCY takes off at 12:40 pm.
New flight to Turin
Weekly winter flights from Heathrow to Turin, Italy will also be available on Sundays starting December 10, 2023. This will complement the current daily service from London Gatwick with BA Euroflyer, the Gatwick-based subsidiary of British Airways. Return fares are available from £120.
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
The ability to fly from Turin directly to London Heathrow opens up the possibility for travelers to stopover and depart to the British airline's entire network, without having to change airports as is the case today for flights from Turin to London Gatwick.
Other news
The most interesting news, at least for me since I often fly to Latvia, is the return of British Airways to Riga.
British Airways will launch the three-times-a-week connection from London Heathrow starting on October 29, 2023. Flights will operate on a mix of A320 and A321 aircraft, with round-trip fares available from £73 or £1 + 23,500 Avios.
