If status matches are promotions that allow users to jump from one loyalty program to another while retaining the benefits of the status held, fast track is an initiative that is open to everyone, even those who do not hold status, and allows them to obtain an elite level in a loyalty program with little effort.
IHG is a chain that has a worldwide presence with more than 6 thousand properties, from the cheapest like Holiday Inn to super luxury properties like Six Sense. Thanks to this promotion, One Rewards members will be able to achieve Gold and Diamond status with fewer stays than normally required.

The promotion is valid for stays booked by December 31, 2023, to gain Elite status in less time is needed:
- Stay 5 nights to achieve Platinum Elite status through December 2024
- Stay 2 nights to obtain Gold Elite status until December 2024
Terms and conditions of the promotion
To participate in the "Quick Access to Elite Status" promotion ("Promotion"), an individual must be an IHG One Rewards member, be part of a corporate group expressly invited to participate in the Promotion by an IHG Global Sales Key Account contact, book qualifying stays eligible for the Promotion using a valid corporate ID, and register for the Promotion with their IHG One Rewards member number. The Promotion period begins on October 2, 2023 and ends on December 31, 2023 (the "Promotion Period").
Once registered for the Promotion, the member will be able to obtain IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status and begin enjoying the associated benefits by staying only five (5) "promotion-qualifying nights" at participating IHG® hotels and resorts. during the Promotion Period. The member will first be able to achieve Gold Elite status (until December 31, 2024) by completing two (2) promotion-qualifying nights within the promotion period. The member may then achieve Platinum Elite status (until December 31, 2024) by staying an additional three (3) promotion-qualifying nights during the Promotion Period.
To be a "Promotion Qualifying Overnight Stay" under the Promotion, the room night must be part of a Promotion-eligible Qualifying Stay and must fall within the Promotion Period. Overnight stays completed prior to registration or outside the Promotion Period are not included. As an example, a member who registers for the Promotion on October 2, 2023, and has a Promotion-eligible Qualifying Stay at a participating hotel with a check-in date of September 30, 2023, and check-out date of October 4, 2023, will be credited with two (2) qualifying nights, for October 2 and 3. The member will not receive credit for September 30 or October 1 because those nights were prior to the Promotion Period. However, by crediting the two (2) qualifying nights for the promotion, the member will earn Gold Elite status under the Promotion and the two (2) qualifying nights for the promotion will also be applied to the five (5) qualifying nights for the promotion. Overnight stays required to earn Platinum Elite status.
For purposes of this Promotion, a Promotion-eligible Qualifying Stay is defined as a minimum stay of one (1) night at a Participating Hotel booked at a valid rate, with a room rate greater than $$ $30 (or local equivalent) per night. Participating hotels include all IHG® Hotels & Resorts, except Six Senses® hotels, resorts and spas that do not participate in the IHG One Rewards program and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that are not yet fully integrated into the IHG One Rewards program. Stays booked using Reward Night or Points & Cash are not eligible stays for the purposes of this Promotion. Reservations made through online travel agencies or other booking sites such as booking.com or expedia.com are also not covered by this Promotion. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member may count the room nights for purposes of the Promotion, for those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, he or she will only receive credit for purposes of this Promotion for one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of a qualifying Room Night for the Promotion.
Gold Elite and Platinum Elite statuses awarded under this promotion will carry over to the member's IHG One Rewards account once the member has completed the number of promotion-qualifying nights required to achieve such status, as described in these Terms and Conditions. Any upgrade in status above the Platinum Elite level for 2023 and 2024, and any Elite status at any level for calendar year 2025 and beyond, must be obtained by the member in accordance with the IHG One Rewards Club Membership Terms and Conditions or, if applicable , pursuant to a special promotion offering the member the opportunity to achieve such status for the prescribed period.
IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other alliance hotels participating in the program, with exceptions for the following brands:
- Six Senses® Hotel, Resort and Spa: You can earn or redeem IHG One Rewards points for stays, but other benefits may not be available. (Keep in mind that some hotels do not participate in the IHG One Rewards program.)
- Iberostar Beachfront Resorts: Reward Night availability will be available soon.

A member's participation in the IHG One Rewards program and this Promotion are subject to the IHG One Rewards Terms and Conditions of Membership, available here or by visiting ihgonerewards.com. IHG may withdraw the Gold Elite or Platinum Elite status granted under this Promotion and withdraw any points associated with that upgraded status from the member's account if that status was awarded in error or if the member was ineligible to participate. IHG also expressly reserves the right to remove a member's points, downgrade the member's status, or suspend or delete the member's account if fraudulent use of the Promotion and any other fraudulent or prohibited activity related to a member's account or a member's participation in the IHG One program is detected. The Rewards program or this Promotion are subject to the Terms and Conditions of IHG One Rewards membership, including any identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG's interpretation of the scope and application of the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions will prevail, and IHG further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend and/or modify the Promotion. This promotional offer is valid only for original members who have been offered to participate in the Promotion and may not be transferred or passed on. Members must submit any claims related to this Promotion by February 29, 2024.
