Guardia di Finanza announces competitions for 15 music band performers
The General Command of the Guardia di Finanza has published open competitions for titles and examinations, divided by parts and qualifications, for the recruitment of 15 performers of the Musical Band. Applications by noon on November 15, 2025.

The General Command of the Guardia di Finanza has published public competitions for titles and examinations, separate for each part and qualification, aimed at recruiting 15 performers of the Guardia di Finanza Music Band. According to the official announcement, the competitions concern the different parts and instruments operating in the musical group. "Public competitions, based on qualifications and examinations, separate for each part and qualification, are announced to fill the below-mentioned parts and instruments of the role of performers of the Music Band of the Guardia di Finanza," the official text reads.

The available positions are divided by parts: among First Parts A are 1st Soprano Clarinet in Bb no. 1 (soloist), 1st Trumpet in high Bb no. 1 and 1st Sopranino Flugelhorn in Eb; among First Parts B are the Bass Drum with the obligation of Timpani, Xylophone, Celeste and Vibraphone; among Second Parts A 1st Soprano Flugelhorn in Bb no. 2 and 2nd Bb Tenor Flugelhorn (with the obligation of the Bb Bass Flugelhorn); among the Second Parts B 2nd Flute (with the obligation of the Piccolo), 1st Bb Soprano Clarinet no. 8 and 2nd Tenor Trombone; among the Third Parts A 1st Bb Soprano Clarinet no. 10 and 2nd Clarinet Soprano in Bb No. 4; among Third Parts B 3rd Flute (with the obligation of the Piccolo), 2nd Clarinet Soprano in Bb No. 7 and 2nd Clarinet Soprano in Bb No. 8, as well as 5th Horn. Participation is also allowed for multiple parts and instruments.
Serving military personnel in the Guardia di Finanza Corps who have not exceeded 45 years of age may participate in the competitions. Italian citizens, including those already at arms, who have, on the date of the deadline for submission of the application (by 12:00 noon on November 15, 2025) completed their 18th year of age and not exceeded the day of their 40th year of age may participate in the competition; this limit is raised by five years for military personnel of the Armed Forces, Police Forces and the National Fire Brigade Corps in service. All candidates must possess the following qualifications on the date of the deadline for submitting applications: a secondary school diploma that allows enrollment in degree programs and a diploma in the instrument for which they are competing or for related instrument, obtained in a state conservatory or other legally recognized institution.
The application for participation in the competition must be completed exclusively through the online procedure available on the active portal at https://concorsi.gdf.gov.it, following the instructions of the automated system. For the purpose of submitting the application, competitors must have one of the following authentication tools: "SPID" or "Enter with CIE."
