L'Hong Kong International Airport (HKG/VHH), also known as Chek Lap Kok International Airport, is one of the most important and busiest airports in Asia. Located on the island of Chek Lap Kok, is the main airport serving the Hong Kong special administrative region.

Opened in the 1998, Hong Kong Airport was designed to replace the old international airport in Kai Tak, located in the center of the city. It was built on an artificial platform over water, providing greater capacity and ease of access than its predecessor. The airport was named after former British Home Secretary Sir Frederick Lugard.

HKG is a crucial hub for travelers coming from and going to various parts of the world, including Asia, Europe, North America, Australia and Africa. With over 220 destinations served, it represents a vital transportation hub for international and domestic air traffic in the Asian region.

Hong Kong Airport has. two terminals passengers, designed to provide a comfortable and convenient travel experience for passengers passing through them.

Cathay Pacific e Cathay Dragon use Hong Kong Airport as their main hub, further cementing its importance in the international aviation landscape. Currently, the airport handles a passenger flow of more than 70 million per year, making it one of the busiest airports in the world.
